WHERE DARKNESS DWELLS
Song of the Solas | Book One
***
A land plagued with darkness and grief is all Amyrah knows, but when luminescent creatures appear in the Vale, her inborn gift awakens and allows her to see the shadows for what they are.
Caught between fear and the pull of light on her soul, she must decide whether her convictions are worth shattering the beliefs of those she loves.
If courage fails her and she gives in to the pressing dark, her people could remain shrouded forever. But if she stands against it, true light might penetrate the Vale for the first time.

In the light-soaked lands to the north, Amyrah Cantar experiences a reprieve from the Shrouded beasts that haunted her steps. But prejudice roams freely outside of the Vale, and her gift of light is resented even where people have never tasted living darkness.
As the shadows begin to advance and the difference between dark and light become harder to distinguish, Amyrah must decide if she is willing to pursue the answers she craves to prevent the loss she never wants to experience again—risking her own heart in the process.
Thrown into the fray by forces beyond her control, she questions if belonging to a different world means she must abandon the one that made her who she is.

MEET THE AUTHOR
An only child, Andrea grew up on the Canadian prairies, always with a cat in tow. Writing became a way for her to process life's beauties and hardships while deepening her hope in the Author of it all.
Besides working on her Song of the Solas trilogy, Andrea enjoys writing flash fiction and short stories in a variety of genres for anthologies and online publishers, as well as participating in weekly prompted #flashfictionmagic challenges on Instagram. She has had pieces published with Quill & Flame Publishing House, Twenty Hills Publishers, and Havok Publishing.
When she isn’t attacking her keyboard, Andrea is likely taking up a new crafty hobby, drinking coffee (or tea—don’t make her chose between them), or watching Doctor Who on repeat . . . for research purposes, of course.
